My design skills are diverse having worked for various advertising agencies and clients for over 10 years. Constant learning and adaptability is key to success. It is important to consider all elements of a project; technology, research, user experience, content, analytics and strategy.

I am organised and considerate. Good communication with the client, co-workers and suppliers is important. I believe that I have the creative expertise to connect products and services with customers.

Surefoot Communications is a full service advertising agency providing print and digital marketing services to corporate clients and local companies in the Berkshire county, west of London. Clients include Citizen Watch UK, F. Hinds, Rombouts Coffee, Siemens, Polycom and Medi Plus.

Kristina’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and conceptualise marketing collateral including branding, corporate design, brochures, point of sale items, product design, exhibition signage, digital assets, email templates and web design

Company: YFB Magazine By Tropical Lifestyle - Publication | Gold Coast, Australia

YFB Magazine is an outdoor lifestyle and gardening publication produced by online retailer Tropical Lifestyle. It is a 100 page bi-monthly publication distributed to newsagents Australia wide and available online. It gives readers inspiration and practical advice about their entire backyard space from gardening, plants, maintenance, outdoor furniture, layout and design. Each vibrant issue features an Australian celebrity's backyard.

Kristina’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Publication design from cover to cover including creation of brand guidelines; layout, typography, colour and design of 4 covers
  • Ad design; double page, single page, quarter page and half page size
  • Video advertising; production of 38 short online video advertisements
  • Management of freelance creative team consisting of Graphic Designer, Web Developer and Videographer
  • Design and management of website content as well as the online advertiser's directory and social networks


January 2011 - April 2014 (3 years, 3 months)
Position: Graphic Designer, Web Content Designer
Company: Tropical Lifestyle Superstore - Online Retailer | Gold Coast, Australia

Tropical Lifestyle Superstore, located on the sunny Gold Coast, is an online retail store which sells outdoor products including patios, pergolas, Balinese style huts, garden statues, water features and bamboo fencing. The business uses direct response marketing techniques to encourage prospects to take specific action i.e. buy now, pick up the phone, go to a webpage or opt into the email list.

Kristina's Key Responsibilities:

  • Design printed collateral i.e. monthly newsletter, direct mail letter sequences, information package, product guides, price lists, signage
  • Design online content i.e. image galleries, online graphics ,product videos, instructional videos, website landing pages, banner ads and social networks i.e. Facebook

Spot The Dog Graphics is a film and television prop specialist for Warner Brothers, independent film makers and free to air Australian television networks channel 7, 9, 10 and ABC. They also provide digital printing and graphic design services for local businesses.

Pictured above are examples of hand made film props created for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader; a 2010 fantasy-adventure film based on C. S. Lewis’s third novel. Filming took place in Australia in 2009 at Warner Brothers Studios on the Gold Coast.

Kristina's Role: Freelance Graphic Designer

Client: Emu Bay Lavender Farm | South Australia

Emu Bay Lavender Farm is situated on Australia's third largest island, south west of Adelaide in South Australia. The farm harvests approximately 8,000 bunches of lavender each year and produces a skin care range, culinary products, 100% pure lavender aromatherapy oils and perfumery oils available to purchase from the farm house or online.

The entire product range was redesigned with a new logo, colour scheme and labels to reflect the beauty and usefulness of this herb.

Kristina's Key Responsibilities:

  • Logo design incorporating the natural colours of the lavender farm
  • Product selection and label design in collaboration with the client
  • Marketing collateral including flyers, catalogue and business cards


October 2003 - September 2007 (4 years)
Kristina's Role: Graphic Designer, Publication Designer
Company: Graphiking Advertising Agency - Advertising Agency | Brisbane, Australia

Graphiking designs press ready ads and marketing collateral for Queensland-based hospitality clients such as Brisbane's Fringe Bar and alcohol retailer Liquor King. Depending on the scale of work and final output, artwork is printed in-house, at a local digital printer or uploaded to a pre-press online portal.

Kristina's Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce 10 press ready ads per week for hospitality clients and alcohol retailer Liquor King
  • Produce 8 page quarterly brochure for alcohol retailer Liquor King
  • Liaise with hospitality managers, printing press staff and newspaper publishers

    Charity Organisation: Melanoma Patients Australia

    Melanoma Patients Australia continues to grow in strength and numbers and is now one of the largest melanoma patient advocacy groups in Australia. It is a non profit organisation that offers a national network of support and information to patients, their families, carers and friends about melanoma prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment.

    Contribution: I donated my Graphic Design skills to produce marketing collateral i.e. flyers and posters in affiliation with resort accommodation business Ravensbourne Escape, Toowoomba Australia.

    Charity Organisation: QPILCH Homeless Persons and Refugee Art Show
    QPILCH, the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House Incorporated, is a not-for-profit, community-based legal organisation that coordinates the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups. 

    Contribution: I donated my Graphic Design skills to produce a logo and advertising i.e. flyers and posters for the homeless persons and refugee art show.

    Career One is one of Australia’s most highly trafficked printed publications and websites whose success lies in the fact that it’s a lot more than just a job board. They offer an unrivalled collection of career advice, job hunting tips, company profiles and job listings to empower people to progress in their career.

    Honor: She was chosen from her class to represent the Commercial Arts Training College, Brisbane Australia, where she studied her Diploma of Commercial Art and Advertising. She was featured on the front cover and editorial of the printed publication.

    Charity Organisation: The Smith Family | Australia

    The Smith Family is a children's charity helping disadvantaged Australian children to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.

    Award: She was the winner of the corporate Christmas card competition supporting the Smith Family Christmas Appeal. Her winning card was printed and distributed Australia wide.


Fine Art - Visiting art galleries is one of my favourite past times. I recently attended the Kandinsky Exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum NYC, the Great British Drawings Exhibition at the University of Oxford UK and the Dali Exhibition at CCBB Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Travel - I have travelled to many parts of the world. My favourite cities are Zurich, New York City, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore. My biggest highlights were mountain bike riding in Bolivia and trekking The Andes in Peru to see Machu Picchu.

Fitness - I enjoy competing in sporting events. In 2015, I competed in New York City's Roosevelt Island Fun Run. In 2016, I competed in London's Colour Obstacle Rush course. In 2017, I will compete in Singapore's Sundown Marathon!
